Sometimes we might want to find the probabilities involved when two different events occur in the same experiment, such as playing basketball and playing football. We might want to know the probability of both events occurring, of one or the other event occurring, of one event occurring given that the other event has occurred, or the probability of neither event occurring. Venn diagrams can help with these calculations.
