The perimeter of a circle is known as the circumference. There is a relationship between the circumference of a circle and it's diameter, where the circumference of the circle is pi times larger than the diameter. Therefor, if the diameter of the circle is known, then the circumference of a circle is found by multiplying the diameter by pi.
